John DePetro, Jr.

John DePetro, Jr. is Senior Vice President of Kataman Metals, in charge of primary non-ferrous metals.

Mr. DePetro has more than 40 years experience in the metals industry.

Prior to joining Kataman in 1993, John was Senior Vice President at both Metals Commodities and Diversified Metals Corp. He is also a former President of Integrated Trading Corp. and former Vice President with Gerald Metals, Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. DePetro held various positions including Director of Purchasing, Traffic and Rod Sales with Westinghouse, and began his career with Marathon Oil Company.

Mr. DePetro is President and Co-Founder of the American Copper Council and over the years has served as Vice President, Director and Membership Chairman. He is also a member of the Copper Club in New York; Institute of Scrap Iron & Steel; National Association of Purchasing Management; National Association of Recycling Industries; National Association of Secondary Material Industries, and National Defense Executive Reserve.

Mr. DePetro is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He also studied Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law and completed the Advanced Management Program at Emory University.
