Warren Gelman

Warren Gelman is President Emeritus of Kataman Metals. Mr. Gelman has more than 50 years of non-ferrous metals experience.

Prior to joining Kataman in 1993, Mr. Gelman started his career with Reading Metals Refining as Assistant Director of Metal Purchasing. Upon leaving Reading Metals, Mr. Gelman purchased a seat on the New York Commodity Exchange and spent the next two years learning the ins and outs of the terminal markets as they relate to physical commodities.

Mr. Gelman then went on to hold positions in non-ferrous metal procurement and non-ferrous metal trading as well as inventory and hedge control with Cerro Copper & Brass, St. Louis, Missouri; Gerald Metals, New York, New York; and Kataman Metals. Mr. Gelman held titles ranging from Director of Metal Purchasing to Vice President, and President at the above companies.

Mr. Gelman is a graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut. Mr. Gelman is a past Director of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Recyclers, Non-Ferrous Dealers Division; Board of Directors, Institute of Scrap Recyclers, Mid-American Division; Mining Club of New York; Copper Club of New York; Yale Club of New York; American Copper Council, and various other social organizations.
